Terms & Conditions

Last updated March 2020.

Hello. Please take a moment to read these Terms & Conditions which relate to https://www.thangka.co.uk . By using or accessing this website you agree to be bound by these terms.

Accuracy of Information on our site thangka.co.uk

We do our best to ensure that the information on this site is complete, accurate and current. Similarly, we make every effort to accurately display the realistic attributes of our products. However, things like colour can depend on many factors, not least the device you view it on. All specifications, products, descriptions and prices are provided to the best of our knowledge but can be subject to change without notice. Handmade products contain natural variation, so there can be slight differences between product image and actual product. Likewise, we will draw you attention to this on certain product descriptions. Products may be discontinued at any time or go out of stock as many items are bespoke one of a kind items, including all the thangka paintings.

Terms of sale

When you place an order to purchase a product, you confirm that you are of legal age to form the contract and that all the information you provide to us is true and accurate. Also that you are an authorised user of the payment method provided. The receipt by you of an automatic order confirmation email does not constitute our acceptance of an order. We retain the right to decline an order for any reason, but we will communicate this to you if it occurs.

Payment terms

Payment for all orders must be made on the checkout page. We accept payment via our payment processor PayPal, which is fully PCI compliant. Paypal accepts payments from most major debit and credit card providers as well as from paypal account users. Online payment transactions are subject to validation checks and we are not responsible if your payment method is declined for any reason. If your card issuer charges you a handling or processing fee, we will not be responsible for this fee.

Shipping and Delivery

We use Royal Mail for our delivery partner and we currently ship to UK addresses only. Items will be sent by first or second class post according to weight. Thangka paintings will be sent via Special Delivery and will require a signature upon delivery. Items will be packaged securely but may be in reused packaging where appropriate in order to reduce waste.

Items will generally be shipped within 1 working day of receipt of order. Any urgent orders please contact us to see if any alternative arrangements are possible.

UK Delivery is currently a flat rate of £4.99. However, UK delivery is free for any orders over £90 in value.

Covid 19 update: Orders will be batched and sent out once a week to minimise contact risk at this time. There is only one worker currently at work, who is abiding by all health & safety guidelines.

Returns and Cancellations

In the unlikely event that the item does not live up to expectation, you may return the item for a refund (minus shipping costs) within 14 days at your own expense. However, we do recommend to get in touch before returning any item.
